📌 Overview of 390 Hours Short-Term Training Program

The 390 Hours Short-Term Training Program is a competency-based vocational training course designed by CTEVT to provide basic to semi-skilled level technical skills in a specific occupation.

This program is generally categorized as a Level I vocational training and is structured to produce entry-level skilled workers ready for employment or self-employment.

Total Duration: 390 hours

Training Period: Approximately 3 months (about 65 training days)

Training Model:

  • Theory + Practical training
  • Practical sessions usually cover 70–80% of total hours
  • May include field visits or short industry exposure, depending on occupation

The focus is strongly on hands-on practice to ensure trainees gain real working skills.

The 390-hour training aims to:

Final Assessment:

  • Internal assessment by the training provider
  • Final Skill Test conducted under CTEVT guidelines (often through the National Skill Testing Board)

Successful trainees receive a CTEVT-recognized certificate.
